The Order of Architects, established by the law of January 3, 1977 on architecture, is a body under private law responsible for public service missions.

Endowed with legal personality and financial autonomy, it is placed under the tutelage of the Minister of Culture.

The Order of Architects is made up of 29 architects, approved in architecture and holders of receipts fulfilling the conditions laid down by law to practice their profession: diploma, ethics, insurance, civil rights…

Registration with the Order of Architects confers the right to practice the profession and to bear the title of architect.

The Order of Architects is made up of 26 Regional Councils and a National Council.
